The ATUM range of heat shrink tubing has been specifically designed to provide environmental sealing and protection in a wide variety of electrical applications and is suitable for both commercial and military use. The tubing has an internal adhesive lining that when heated forms a moisture proof seal that bonds to a wide variety of materials. The high expansion ratio makes it possible to repair most damaged cables without the need to remove any connectors. A ratio of 3:1 means when the tube is heated it shrinks to one third of its original diameter. The original tubing size is three times larger than its shrunken form. A ratio of 4:1 means when the tube is heated it shrinks to one quarter of its original diameter. The original tubing size is four times larger than its shrunken form. How can I shrink the tubing? A heat gun or a heat shrink oven are ideal ways to shrink your tubing. Before heating always check to ensure you know the correct heating temperature of your tubing.
