The company evolved from Officine Meccaniche Pejrani srl, established in 1973 by Engineer Luigi Pejrani, who recognized the growing need for eco-friendly waste management technologies. In 2001, the company patented its Converter process, revolutionizing traditional waste treatment by enabling on-site waste processing. Since launching its Converter technology in 2008, OMPECO has been committed to producing safe and certified refuse-derived fuel (rdf). The company operates from its headquarters in Moncalieri, Torino, Italy, and has a branch in Hialeah, Florida, USA, to serve the US territories.
