Founded in 1958, Newton Crum has established a strong reputation in the marine insurance sector, particularly in dinghy and narrowboat insurance. For 67 years, the company has served thousands of satisfied customers, becoming a trusted name in boat insurance. In early 2025, Newton Crum decided to withdraw from the marine insurance market, effective April 1, 2025, due to challenges faced by smaller firms. They have chosen to partner with Noble Marine, a privately owned and independent marine insurance provider, to ensure their customers continue to receive quality service. Noble Marine shares similar values and has an in-house claims team rated 5 Star on TrustPilot. Policies that are active before April 1, 2025, will still be managed by Newton Crum until March 31, 2026, after which customers will need to contact MS Amlin Underwriting Limited for inquiries. Newton Crum remains committed to supporting the boating community through this transition.
