The Sika TermiGrid is an anti-termite protection system designed for new buildings implemented from the construction phase. Developed by Sika, this patented process relies on an impenetrable physical barrier without the use of chemical products.
The TERMIGRID system consists of the installation of a specific textile mesh coated with an abrasive powder made from aluminium oxide, securely fixed by a resin. This abrasive powder, composed of sharp-edged particles with a granulation of approximately 120 µm, mechanically prevents the passage of termites, making the barrier completely impenetrable. The structure of the Sika TermiGrid is based on a framework of polyamide textile threads known for their very high toughness. The woven meshes are dimensionally stabilized by crossing and double coating with phenolic resin, ensuring excellent durability and optimal resistance over time.
The system complies with the 2nd termite decree as well as the provisions of the Order of 27 June 2006 relating to the application of articles R.112-2 to R.112-4 of the Construction and Housing Code, thus fully meeting French regulatory requirements.
The Sika TermiGrid is suitable for all common constructions, particularly individual houses, collective housing buildings, office buildings, schools, commercial, industrial or agricultural buildings, and constructions located in seismic zones.
