This structural bonding adhesive - Sikaflex 252 is specially developed for bonding large assemblies in vehicle construction. It is a elastic one-component polyurethane adhesive suitable for creating structural bonds subjected to dynamic stresses in service. It is suitable for bonding coated metals (particularly aluminium), GRP, ceramic materials, plastics, wood, primers, or even paints.

Sikaflex 252 can be used when temperatures range between 10 °C and 35 °C for both the environment and the product itself. It is essential to consider variations in reactivity and application methods. The ideal thermal range for both the substrate and the adhesive is between 15 °C and 25 °C.
It should be noted that viscosity increases when it is cool. For easy application, warm the adhesive to room temperature. To ensure a uniform adhesive thickness, it is suggested to apply it in a triangular shape (as indicated in the sketch below).
Use a suitable gun for cartridges/portions or a pumping device to apply Sikaflex 252. The time before a skin forms on the surface is significantly reduced in warm and humid conditions. Ensure to assemble the components before this time. Once the skin has formed, avoid pressing further.
