SUBSTRATE
Substrates must be cohesive, sound, clean, and dry.
In all cases of use, the substrates and the edges of the joints must be free from any non-adherent or poorly adherent parts and any products that may harm the adhesion of the sealant (grease, oil, dust).
APPLICATION
Follow the DTU 44.1. In particular, do not create joints narrower than 5 mm.
Use a Sika BACKING ROD installed with non-cutting tools to avoid damaging its surface.
Apply the sealant in a continuous joint with a manual, pneumatic, or electric gun, avoiding any air inclusion.
Carefully press the sealant against the edges of the joint.
Then smooth using a brush moistened with slightly soapy water if necessary before a skin forms.
