Themicro-synthetic structural fibres SIKA SikaCem Fibre 12 - 600gare designed to improve the resistance to cracking due to plastic shrinkage of concrete, thus reducing the risk of early cracking and can replace, depending on the dosage, the anti-cracking mesh (PAF). Thanks to their fineness, the fibres disperse very easily and create a very high-density fibrous network which mainly results in limiting crazing and cracking due to plastic shrinkage, improving cohesion in the fresh state by limiting the risks of segregation and bleeding, and allowing for an increase in impact resistance. As it is a synthetic fibre, there is no risk of rust spots appearing on the surface for elements intended to remain visible. This product is also packaged in a puck (bundle of fibres in a water-soluble film) to facilitate dispersion during mixing and to avoid the formation of fibre clumps (urchins) at high dosages. These fibres can be used in floor slabs, screeds, precast elements, or as reinforcement in sprayed concrete.
Specialising in chemical products, Sika is a leader in the development and manufacturing of systems and products for bonding, sealing, soundproofing, reinforcement, and protection in the construction and automotive industries.
