The SunPower® panels are designed and tested for use in marine saltwater. The SunPower® Maxeon® solar cell is the only solar cell built on a copper base. This makes these back-contact cells resistant to cracking and corrosion when flexed or exposed to a humid environment, unlike conventional cells that may fail or lose power. The substrate is made from high-grade lightweight polymer materials designed to withstand high exposure to UV rays. Efficiency levels of 22 to 25% mean greater energy production than standard silicone panels of the same area. SunPower® panels are shade-resistant as each cell operates independently. SunPower® cells perform better than standard silicon cells in extreme temperatures and provide excellent performance in low light conditions. Recharge times are faster with SunPower® panels, as energy conversion levels are higher, allowing for quicker battery replenishment while you enjoy your time.
