The ARES NIGHTMARE SALVIMAR crossbow features a tube with a faceted elliptical shape and an integral arrow guide, taking the concept from the HERO SALVIMAR crossbow but in ultra-light aluminium here...
Lighter and more mobile laterally than the HERO, the ARES NIGHTMARE SALVIMAR crossbow is as light as a feather and ultra-precise thanks to its arrow with a centered notch on the top of the tail: the arrow automatically positions itself at the centre of the reversed mechanism in stainless steel and remains centred and aligned on the integral arrow guide, even when the bands are drawn. The arrow no longer "moves" in the mechanism of the ARES NIGHTMARE crossbow.
The ARES NIGHTMARE crossbow comes with 2 Ø 14 mm black PRIMELINE wrapped bands: Natural latex bands of the highest quality produced by Primeline Industries in the U.S.A, offering very high performance.
The stainless steel arrow is a BOLT Ø 7 mm with a reverse single notch and 3 attachment fins. This "thick" diameter allows for great inertia and better penetration of "thick" fish. The arrow of the ARES NIGHTMARE crossbow is short at the head to keep the Hawaiian notch closed during the movement of the crossbow.
The mechanism of the ARES NIGHTMARE is entirely made of stainless steel, including the trigger and the line release (reversible right/left). The sensitivity of the trigger is adjustable.
The stock of the ARES NIGHTMARE crossbow features a 4 mm stainless steel fixing ring and an ambidextrous ergonomic butt for better handling.

Ambidextrous Molded Stock for Right & Left Handed Users
The stock of the ARES NIGHTMARE SALVIMAR crossbow is ergonomic and can easily adapt to either a right or left hand. The butt, or "gun butt", is integrated into the stock (thus non-removable) and lowered to clear the sight.
