Product Description
Ultra-thin joint backing from Teakdecking Systems, 3.5 mm wide.
Recommendations
- We recommend joint backs for any groove depth equal to or greater than 8 mm, allowing the joint not to adhere to the bottom of the groove and to work face to face. This increases the flexibility and elongation of the joint.
- Adhesion on three sides limits the movement capacity of a joint before it breaks. That is why we recommend applying a joint backing at the base of each groove, so that the joint simply works on the edge of the slats and independently of the bottom of the groove.
- Make sure the rabbet is clean. A dirty rabbet can have negative consequences.
- Teakdecking Systems ultra thin joint tape. For better adhesion, it is preferable that the joint works face to face.
- We recommend joint bottoms for any groove depth equal to or greater than 8 mm, allowing the joint to work face to face and not stick to the groove bottom. This increases the flexibility of the joint.
- For best results, it is recommended to use a gasket base in the rabbet before caulking.
