Product Description
The COOSA composite panels are made of high-density closed-cell polyurethane foam reinforced with continuous and woven glass fibres. These panels have become the industry standard, replacing plywood in many industrial applications. They are available in 2 densities: 320 kg/m³ and 416 kg/m³ for a standard size of 2438 x 1219 mm.
Bluewater 20 Panel
The Bluewater 20 is the lightest panel and has a density of 20 pounds per cubic foot.
- At least 45% lighter than plywood.
- Density: 320 kg/m³
- Available thicknesses: 6.35 to 50.8 mm
- Generally used as a semi-structural component such as stringers/cross members, bridges, cabinetry, and displays.
Bluewater 26 Panel
The Bluewater 26 stands out as the stiffest panel from Coosa, with the highest strength-to-weight ratio.
- At least 30% lighter than plywood.
- Density: 416 kg/m³
- Available thicknesses: 6.35 to 50.8 mm
- Generally used as a structural component such as arches/studs, floors, and partitions.
Advantages
- Lightweight and strong: these fibreglass panels are up to 45% lighter than plywood.
- No additional treatment is required.
- These composites are resistant to insects, mould due to their waterproof nature, as well as algae, fungi, and mildew.
- They absorb virtually no water (less than 1%), making them ideal for humid environments.
- These panels allow for excellent adhesion with other materials and can be fastened with screws, staples, adhesives, and resins.
- The sanded surface simplifies the processes of lamination, bonding, and veneering.
- Versatile applications: Coosa composite panels are used in various sectors such as construction, transportation, recreational vehicles, marine...
