Colloidal silica 406 is a thickening additive used to control the viscosity of epoxy, bonding, void filling and fillers.
It prevents epoxy runoff into vertical and overhead joints.
Often used in combination with other fillers, 406 can be used to improve the strength, abrasion resistance and consistency of epoxy compounds for fairing. The result is a stronger and smoother surface.
Can be used to prevent epoxy from running along vertical or ceiling surfaces and to control the viscosity of the epoxy.
It is also our most versatile epoxy filler.
Very strong filler.
Add 3 to 8% by weight to the resin/hardener mixture.
