The QUELYD M2 wallpaper adhesive - 300g is a quality product that will delight professionals while also being suitable for amateurs. It has been designed to have a high tackiness to ensure a smooth application without rolling or tearing for embossed wallpapers. This starch-based adhesive is recommended for various high-quality wallpapers: thick and heavy washable, cleanable, simple or duplex embossed, and paintable grasscloths as well as "nervous" types.
The surface must be flat, smooth, healthy, permanently dry (not exposed to rising damp), clean, solid, degreased, and dust-free with normal porosity.
- Remove old wallpapers and coatings

- De-gloss old or shiny paints with an alkaline wash and then rinse
- Sand if necessary (repainting edges) and remove dust from sanding

- Pre-glue new, overly absorbent walls (new plaster)
- Stabilise friable, powdery surfaces with our hardener in alcohol or acrylic solution
- Prime plasterboard with cardboard facings (Placoplâtre®) using a suitable primer
- Avoid rich nourishing primers or mixtures like "leftover paints" that may block surfaces and are incompatible with our adhesives
- Pour 5 litres of water into a clean bucket and stir quickly to create a vortex, then pour the contents of a packet of adhesive around the edges of the bucket
- Maintain a slight agitation for about 30 seconds, then let it rest for 15 minutes
- Apply enough and evenly to the back of the paper, folding the strip in a "wallet" style, ensuring the edges overlap to prevent premature drying of the adhesive on the edges
- Respect a soaking time of 5 to 10 minutes depending on the thickness of the paper and the manufacturer's instructions
- Display the first strip after ensuring it is plumb. The following strips will be positioned edge to edge according to the manufacturer's advice and the order established during cutting
- Carefully smooth with a wallpaper brush or plastic spatula from top to bottom and from the centre outwards
- Fresh adhesive stains will be removed immediately with a damp, clean sponge
