The Petzl JANE-Y is a double progression lanyard designed to provide continuous connection during rope ascents. It features a 60 cm long arm and a 30 cm short arm, facilitating secure and efficient climbing operations.
- Continuous Connection: The long arm is intended for attaching an ASCENSION handled rope clamp, while the short arm is used for clipping in when passing intermediate anchors.
- Enhanced Handling: Sewn terminations with plastic sheaths at each end hold carabiners in position, facilitate clipping, and protect terminations from abrasion.
- Compatibility: The STUART accessory allows direct attachment to the gated ventral attachment point of ASTRO harnesses.
- Identification: Individual identification markings on the plastic sheaths enable tracking of equipment throughout its lifespan.
- Dynamic Rope Construction: The dynamic rope lanyard limits the impact transmitted to the user in the event of a short fall. Note: Progression lanyards do not have energy absorbers and should only be used if the fall factor is less than 1, below the ASCENSION handled rope clamp or anchor point.
