The Petzl I’D® S is a self-braking descender designed for work at height and rope access applications. It features an ergonomic handle for comfortable descent control and incorporates safety mechanisms such as an anti-panic function and anti-error catch to minimize the risk of user error. The AUTO-LOCK system enables easy positioning at workstations without manual handle manipulation, and the safety gate allows rope installation while the device remains connected to the harness. Compatible with ropes ranging from 10 to 11.5 mm in diameter, the I’D® S supports loads up to 250 kg.
