It features a friction spur that allows for easy modulation of braking, particularly beneficial in heavy load situations such as two-person rescues. The carabiner is compatible with Petzl's self-braking descenders, including the I’D S, I’D L, I’D EVAC, and RIG models. When rotated, it ensures the descender remains securely attached during transfers from the gear holder to the ventral attachment point or anchor. The FREINO Z is equipped with the TRIACT-LOCK automatic locking system, providing triple-action gate opening for enhanced security.
