The ASAP® LOCK Mobile Fall Arrester by Petzl is a safety device designed to provide continuous fall protection for workers at height. It operates on vertical or angled ropes ranging from 10 to 13 mm in diameter. In normal use, the device moves freely along the rope without manual intervention, following the user's movements. In the event of a shock load or sudden acceleration, the ASAP® LOCK locks onto the rope, arresting the fall. An integrated locking function allows the user to immobilize the device, reducing potential fall distance and preventing the rope from being blown upward in strong winds. The connection arm ensures the system remains attached when passing through intermediate anchors. For applications requiring distance from the rope, the ASAP® LOCK can be paired with an ASAP’SORBER or ASAP’SORBER AXESS energy absorber. The latter is suitable for loads up to 250 kg in two-person rescue situations. The device is constructed from aluminum, stainless steel, and nylon, and weighs 425 g. It is certified to CE EN 12841 type A, CE EN 353-2, UKCA, and ANSI Z359.15 standards when used with appropriate components.
