The Sikaflex-591 is a multi-purpose hybrid sealant STP (Silane Terminated Polymer) developed by Sika specifically designed to meet the requirements of the marine environment. Thanks to its excellent resistance to salt water, UV, and severe marine conditions, the Sikaflex-591 is perfectly suited for both interior and exterior applications. It ensures effective and durable adhesion while maintaining great elasticity, ideal for absorbing the vibrations and movements inherent to navigation.
It is particularly recommended for bonding and sealing deck hardware, fenders, and rub rails, the installation of equipment such as fans, hatches, or deck accessories, the creation of elastic finishing joints resistant to vibrations, various bonding in interior fittings (lining, strips, decorative elements), the sealing of through-hulls, or even interior sealing work, especially in humid areas.
The Sikaflex-591 stands out for its high compatibility with non-ferrous metals (brass, bronze, copper) as well as with many plastics used in boating. Its fungicidal formulation makes it particularly suitable for confined and humid environments.
Respectful of users and materials, it is free from isocyanates, solvents, PVC, phthalates, and tin-based catalysts while ensuring high robustness and longevity.
