The Mares Rover Octopus is a medium-sized, lightweight secondary regulator designed for intensive and rental use. It features a durable technopolymer construction, ensuring resistance to abrasion and suitability for warm and temperate waters. The regulator is equipped with a large, soft purge button with a "dynamic hinge" design, allowing easy activation with a single finger and preventing free flow in strong currents. The soft cover is made from durable rubber, capable of withstanding over 113,000 purge cycles. The Vortex Assisted Design (VAD) system, combined with the Fluid Dynamic Deflector (FDD), ensures natural and effortless breathing at all depths. The regulator includes a 100 cm (39.4 inches) yellow rubber hose for easy identification in emergencies. It is Nitrox ready up to 40% oxygen out-of-the-box. The regulator weighs 385 grams (13.6 ounces) with the hose.
