LOCTITE® 243 is a blue, general-purpose threadlocker that provides a medium-strength bond, effectively locking and sealing metal nuts and bolts to prevent loosening due to shock and vibration. It is suitable for use on all metals, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum, and plated surfaces, without the need for a primer. Additionally, LOCTITE® 243 is proven to tolerate minor contamination by industrial oils, such as engine oils, corrosion prevention oils, and cutting fluids, making it ideal for applications where fasteners may be exposed to these substances.
