For the most loyal divers of the Rapallo company, the names Dragon and Kaila are synonymous with quality, reliability, and success. They are two flagship products from Mares in terms of vests. Was it possible to do better? Mares has succeeded. The main features of the Dragon and Kaila have now evolved and progressed, so that they have become even more comfortable, stable, and incredibly robust. Above all, these two vests are now equipped with the new SLS weight system - Slide and Lock System: more stable weight retention, increased sealing surfaces, active locking mechanical system, quick release mechanism, guiding tunnel for easier donning, audible feedback for correct insertion. On the Dragon and Kaila, the SLS system has a capacity of 4+4 kg on sizes XS and S, and 6+6 kg on sizes M, L, and XL. A pocket with a Supratex neoprene panel has also been added, the "Stretch Pocket" already tested on the Quantum: made with the same neoprene used for wetsuits, it is abrasion-resistant and includes a horizontal zipper. The fit of these two vests is optimal and performance is enhanced by the separation between the shell and the shoulders: a wider range of motion is possible as well as superior stability of the shell, even when adjusted during diving. The shell is attached to the shoulder strap by a small loop that can slide on a band, ensuring no pulling on the shoulders during inflation. Dragon and Kaila also allow for the adjustment of the position of the band that holds the Direct System in two different positions to modify its position, to satisfy those who desire the greatest ease of air release when raising the snorkel, and those who prefer a snorkel that is better secured and close to the body. Even the Direct System has been improved: the length is now reduced to 32 cm (instead of 40 cm) for sizes S, XS, and XXS (available only for the women's version KAILA). The Trim Weight pockets are also present, practical and accessible, complementing these already very complete vests. Finally, additional attention for the female audience from Mares: Kaila, the dedicated "She Dives" solution will have a 40 mm buckle, while the Dragon, the "men's" vest will be equipped with a 50 mm swivel buckle.
