IDEM Solenoid Interlock SwitchThe IDEM KLP series guard locking safety interlock switch has a supply voltage rating of 24VAC/VDC. It has 2NC safety contact and 2NO auxiliary contacts. This switch fits the leading edge of sliding or hinged machine guards. It provides a locking mechanism to keep the guard closed until the hazard is removed. This switch is tongue operated with positively operated switching contacts and a strong tamper-resistant key mechanism. It provides robust position interlock detection for moving guards. This solenoid interlock switch can be used with safety timers to provide a delay before allowing the guard to open (for example machines that require a rundown). Depending on the risk assessment for the application, it can be used independently to provide positively operated contacts or used with any dual channel safety-monitoring relay. Note Not supplied with an actuator. Standard, flat, heavy-duty flexible and hygienic actuators are available separately. The flexible actuators are perfect for tight radius guards.
