River ATIS function
ATIS stands for "Automatic Transmitter Identification System", which in French is: Système d'Identification automatique du transmetteur.
This system - integrated into the VHF transmitter - emits at the end of each transmission a unique code, known as the ATIS code, which allows the identification of the transmitter. For prolonged transmissions, this code will also be emitted every 5 minutes. In case of a problem on your boat, this function allows you to be identified by rescue services.
