Loctite® 243 is a blue, general-purpose threadlocker that provides a medium-strength bond, effectively securing and sealing metal nuts, bolts, and studs to prevent loosening due to shock and vibration. It is suitable for all metals, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum, and plated surfaces, without the need for a primer. Additionally, Loctite® 243 is tolerant of minor contamination by industrial oils, such as motor oils, corrosion prevention oils, and cutting fluids, making it ideal for use on most oil-coated, 'as-received' fasteners without cleaning.
- Prevents fastener loosening on vibrating assemblies, e.g., pumps, gearboxes, or presses.
- Suitable for use on all metals, including passive substrates.
- Tolerant of minor contamination by industrial oils.
- Can be disassembled with ordinary hand tools for easy service and maintenance.
- NSF/ANSI 61 certified.
