The great innovation of the Quantum mask, besides offering an enhanced downward field of vision and also preventing fogging, utilises a thermoregulation system inside the mask to prevent warm, humid air from escaping from the nose.
This phenomenon is achieved thanks to the seal obtained with a membrane inserted on the mould near the eyes and nose, which channels the airflow towards the silicone walls, and not onto the lenses. On the external part of the walls, a cooling system is created consisting of two small heat exchangers that function like real radiators.
The effect of increased temperature inside the mask decreases, approaching the outside temperature, thus trapping moisture droplets before the air reaches the lenses, largely avoiding the fogging problem.
Despite the presence of internal lips for air flow deviation and external heat exchangers, the structure of the Quantum mask is compact and represents one of the most advanced models in terms of field of vision in the diving world.
The lenses are not chemically treated, which is why when the mask is new, it is preferable, as with other models, to clean the lenses with toothpaste, dish detergent, or simply to burn off all volatile impurities on the glass with a lighter. However, it is always useful to use saliva before each immersion as a surfactant.
This mask has been manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the CE regulation 2016 / 425 for PPE (category 1) following the NF EN 16805 standard
