Pack of 6 M12 Threaded Rods BATIFIX is essential for carrying out your chemical fixing work by resin injection for hollow or solid materials. Indeed, these elements can be used with a sieve for hollow materials only, such as concrete blocks, hollow bricks, or hollow concrete blocks. In the case of solid materials like concrete, natural stone, and solid bricks, using a sieve is unnecessary. The threaded rods should be chosen based on the weight and dimensions of the object to be fixed. The rod must be introduced with a rotational + translational movement while avoiding lateral movements as much as possible.
- Easy to use
- Has good resistance
- Suitable for fixing heavy objects
- Fixing for hollow or solid materials
- Diameter: 12 X 115mm
- Weight of the threaded rod: 100g
- Ref. FIXTIG/M12X115
Usage advice for chemical sealing installation:
For hollow materials, it is the diameter of the sieve that determines the drilling diameter.
For solid materials, it is the diameter of the threaded rod that will be your reference, to which you need to add 2mm.
Drill the hole to the desired dimensions.
Carefully dust the holes by blowing air into them.
Set up the resin cartridge and cut the end (discard the first centimetre of mixture).
Inject the sealant starting from the bottom of the hole and in sufficient quantity.
For hollow materials only: insert the sieve ensuring that the centring ring is open, then inject the resin into the sieve and close the centring ring. Then insert the threaded rod during the handling time, turning until it reaches the bottom of the sieve.
For solid materials, the same operation is performed but without the sieves.
As a guideline, at a temperature of 5°C, the drying time is 50 minutes; at 20°C, wait 20 minutes; at 30°C, wait 15 minutes; and at 35°C, wait 10 minutes.
