The straight-orientated male plug has a rugged waterproof design. It has silicone cable-end gaskets and rubber pads, as well as fully-sealed solder bucket connectors. These contribute to its IP67 rating, which means the unit will keep out dust and water. For durability, this plug has a robust steel shell thats plated with nickel to prevent corrosion. The gold-coated contacts are made from a high-grade copper alloy and insulated with the thermoplastic polymer PBT (polybutylene terephthalate). RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant, the plug contains low levels of dangerous materials.
