Sopalo Water-Based Epoxy Paint
Sopalo is a water-based epoxy paint specially designed for coating both new and old surfaces. It's ideal for all your interior applications, and can be applied to both walls and floors.
Applications
Renovating furniture, kitchens, tiles, bathrooms... whether it's an old or new floor or wall, Sopalo will adapt.
Advantages
- No joints or shrinkage: This provides a continuous, smooth surface while reducing the risk of water infiltration and making maintenance easier.
- Excellent adhesion: With no primer required, Sopalo can be applied to a wide range of surfaces including concrete, metal, tiles, earthenware and wood.
- Wear and abrasion resistance: Epoxy provides superior protection, even in high-traffic environments and harsh conditions.
- Customisation: You can adapt to your surface thanks to the wide range of colours available (see RAL photo).
Warning
Not suitable for exotic woods, plastics, soft floors or silicone.

Packaging
- 1 kg kit: 0.77 kg epoxy resin + 0.23 kg hardener
- 5 kg kit: 3.85 kg epoxy resin + 1.15 kg hardener
Application advice
- Surface preparation: surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dust, oil, grease, silicone, damp, etc.
- Optional step: Sand any stains and traces of silicone or other sealant until completely removed (120 to 180 grit).
- Degrease surfaces that are difficult to sand with water using standard detergent. Leave to dry for at least 24 hours and 2 to 3 days for floors.
- Pour all the hardener (comp.B) into the resin container (comp.A), then mix for 2 to 3 minutes. Leave to stand for 5 to 10 minutes, then mix again for about 30 seconds.
- Without waiting, apply your mixture to your substrate using a roller. Leave to dry for 24 hours, then apply a second coat.
If you don't need the full kit, you can use a precision balance to divide it up. For example, 100 g resin to 30 g hardener.
Consumption
Approximately 0.050 kg/m² per coat for smooth tiles and up to 0.250 kg/m² per coat depending on the porosity and roughness of the substrate.
