Packaging:
- 5 kg kit: 3.57 kg epoxy resin + 1.43 kg hardener
- 10 kg kit: 7.14 kg epoxy resin + 2.86 kg hardener
Application advice:
- Substrate preparation: substrates must be clean, dry and free of dust, oil, grease, curing compound, moisture, loose or crumbly parts, etc.
- Optional steps: Use our POXYFIRST primer for very porous substrates. For steel and aluminium, the substrate must be prepared by sandblasting to at least SA 2.5 degree of care.
- Pour all the hardener (comp.B) into the resin container (comp.A) (they are supplied pre-dosed), then mix for 2 to 3 minutes at a speed of 400 rpm using an electric agitator.
- Apply the mixture to the surface using a roller. Leave to dry for approximately 16 hours, then apply a second coat.
If you don't need the full kit, you can use a precision balance to divide it up. For example, 100 g resin to 40 g hardener.
Consumption:
Approximately 0.400 kg/m² per coat, but may vary depending on the porosity and roughness of the substrate.
