Forged CE stainless steel HR long D shackle. 'HR' stands for High Resistance. The 17.4 PH stainless steel that these shackles are forged from offers very high level mechanical performance characteristics.
These models, which form an integral part of the fittings on large ocean-going mono-hulls and multi-hulls, are also widely used in the industrial sector.
A Shackle forged in HR 17.4 Ph Stainless Steel can be up to 60% more resistant than a shackle made from 316L Stainless Steel.
Hot dropped forged from a single piece of stainless steel, adding strength and consistency of manufacture for total security and reliability. The technical characteristics of every Shackle is closely controlled and tested before, during and after the manufacturing process.
CE marked in accordance with the Machines Directive 2006/42, these Wichard products can be used as lifting accessories. Each product displays the following information:
- Working Load Limit (WLL) = 5:1 safety factor of the break load
- CE marking
- Product origin
- Manufacturer’s logo
