Note, our drums are multiples:

- of 5 metres for lengths of 5 to 50 M

- of 10 metres for lengths of 60 to 100 M

Replacement:

 
- If the chain has lost more than 10% of its nominal diameter
- If the chain shows pronounced oxidation known as "red" rust and flaking

Usage precautions:

 
- Rinse the chain with fresh water after each use
- Clean the anchor locker and allow to dry once a year
- Rotate the chain at the end of the season
- Check the condition of the anodes
- Check for the absence of electrical leaks from the windlass
- Avoid chafing phenomena
- Avoid polluted areas, volcanic bottoms, areas of algae proliferation, anchoring near metal masses
- Do not expose the chain to acidic, abrasive, or corrosive products
