Blue Power Smart IP22 Bluetooth Controlled Charger

The Blue Power Smart IP22 charger is an innovation from Victron for charging and maintaining your batteries.

With one or three outputs, at 12 or 24 Volts, this charger can be controlled directly on the unit with the Mode button or via Bluetooth using the Victron Connect app.

This allows you to take control of your charger if it is not easily accessible.

You can find all the status information, essential data for using your Blue Power IP22 charger, and a history of charges and voltages.

Your charger can be updated via this app when an update is available.

High efficiency

With an efficiency of up to 94%, these chargers generate up to four times less heat compared to industrial standards. And once the battery is fully charged, energy consumption is reduced to 0.5 Watt, nearly five to ten times better than industrial standards.

6-step adaptive charging algorithm: test - bulk - absorption - recondition - float - standby

The Blue Smart Charger includes an "adaptive" charge management system controlled by a microprocessor. The "adaptive" function automatically optimises the charging process according to how the battery is used.

Standby mode: less maintenance and aging if the battery is not used

Standby mode is activated when the battery has not been used for 24 hours. In standby mode, the float voltage is reduced to 2.2 V / cell (13.2 V for a 12 V battery) to minimise gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is raised to the absorption level to "equalise" the battery. This function prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, major causes of premature battery aging.

Also charges lithium-ion (LiFePO₄) batteries

LiFePO₄ batteries are charged with a simple bulk - absorption - float algorithm.

NIGHT and LOW settings

When the NIGHT or LOW mode is selected, the output current is reduced to a maximum of 25% of the nominal output, and the charger will be completely silent. The NIGHT mode automatically ends after 8 hours. The LOW mode can be stopped manually.

Overheating protection

The output current will reduce if the temperature rises to 50ºC, but the Blue Smart charger will not fail.
