The Super-Power variable speed pump from Emaux uses the latest Permanent Magnet Motor (PMM) technology, which creates a magnetic field between the rotor and the windings. Energy savings come from the ability to reduce the revolutions per minute (RPM) of the motor itself. A standard motor consumes electricity to induce the magnetic field in the rotor. In contrast, a permanent magnet motor gains efficiency from the magnets that turn the rotor, allowing for energy savings of up to 80%. The Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) motor design also increases reliability and durability for use in all weather conditions. The AISI316 stainless steel motor shaft and the shaft seal also ensure reliability and compatibility with saltwater pools.
