Automatic Vest 6D - HRS Harness - UML 275N - Spinlock
The ultimate life jacket for maximum safety at sea.
The Spinlock Automatic Vest 6D is designed to provide optimal safety during your sailing adventures.
The Deckvest 6D 275N features larger bladders than the 170N version and will support a sailor out of the water, even when wearing cold weather clothing.
It will be perfect for any offshore sailing programme and races, in summer as well as winter.
It is equipped with UML Pro Sensor Elite technology, which allows for reliable automatic inflation thanks to a compressed paper capsule that dissolves on contact with water: This system ensures that the vest does not activate in rain or spray, but only in the event of a fall into the water.
The vest also has a Pylon light that activates on contact with water, providing increased visibility in an emergency situation.
It also features Lume-on on the vest's bladders which, upon contact with water, illuminate them, increasing the vest's visibility at night.
Its ergonomic design ensures optimal comfort, with easy and quick adjustment thanks to fine adjustment buckles.
It has a single undercut with quick-release clip closure.
2 versions are available for the 275N model:
- 1 version equipped with a dyneema textile harness.
- 1 version equipped with a dyneema textile harness + the quick-release lifeline system, HRS.
HRS (Harness Release System) is a new innovation that allows the wearer of the life jacket to disconnect from the lifeline by releasing their harness using a soft loop lever.
Staying connected to the boat is undoubtedly safer than being in the water, and the use of a security line is actively encouraged.
However, in the event of a fall overboard, a victim may find themselves dragged or trapped alongside or behind the vessel.
The ability to quickly release a safety line can save lives in these situations and is recognised in the Special Regulation on offshore operations by the requirement to carry a knife.
However, knives can often be inaccessible and difficult to use in an emergency.
For this reason, Spinlock has developed the HRS, to provide a safe and easy way to release the tether of the wearer under load.
The harness release system has been tested and meets the requirements of ISO12402 certification.
The vest is also equipped with a spray hood to protect the person who has fallen into the water from waves and spray.
Weighing only 1.2 kg, this vest is comfortable to wear for long periods.
