This Sikaflex 291i marine sealant has excellent adhesion and high resistance to saltwater, making it ideal for marine sealing applications. With outstanding filling properties once cured, it can be painted. It is a versatile assembly product used in shipbuilding, suitable for creating flexible and vibration-resistant seals both indoors and outdoors. Sikaflex®-291i has strong adhesion to the main substrates used in shipbuilding: wood, metals, primers and paints (two-component), ceramics, and plastics (GRP, etc.). However, it should not be used on plastics prone to stress cracking. This product exhibits low flame spread in accordance with the standards set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
