Surface Preparation:
To Ensure Good Adhesion, Surfaces Must Be Clean, Dry, And Free Of Grease, Oil, And Dust. On Wood, The Use Of An Appropriate Primer, Such As Sika® Primer-290 Dc, Is Mandatory. Further Surface Treatments Depend On The Specific Nature Of The Substrates, Such As Perimeter Sealing Of The Deck. However, All Recommendations Must Be Determined Through Preliminary Tests.
Application:
To Achieve Satisfactory Results, Sikaflex®-290 Dc Pro Must Be Applied With Suitable Equipment Such As Pumping Systems, Dosing Units, Or Piston Applicator Guns. Sikaflex®-290 Dc Pro Can Be Worked Between 5 °C And 35 °C, But It Should Be Noted That Variations In Reactivity And Application Properties Can Affect The Final Result. The Optimal Processing Temperature (Substrate, Environment, And Product) Is Between 15 °C And 25 °C.
Removal:
Unhardened Sikaflex®-290 Dc Pro Can Be Removed From Tools And Equipment With Sika® Remover-208 Or Another Suitable Solvent. Once Hardened, The Material Can Only Be Mechanically Removed. Hands And Exposed Skin Should Be Immediately Washed Using Hand Cleaning Wipes Such As Sika® Cleaner-350H, Or An Appropriate Industrial Hand Cleaner And Water. Do Not Use Solvents On The Skin!
