POXYFIRST
POXYFIRST is a two-component epoxy primer, specially designed for applying resins, floor paints, and waxed concrete to concrete and its derivatives, as well as to chipboard. It optimises adhesion and reinforces porous or crumbly surfaces.
! PoxyFirst must always be covered with another resin!
Application
Primer used as a dust suppressant, mortar, for leveling, anchoring, and for sealing various parts (wood/wood, concrete/steel, etc.).
Colour
Colorless
Packaging
- 4kg kit: 2.664kg component A + 1.336kg component B
- 10kg kit: 6.66kg component A + 3.34kg component B
- 15kg kit: 10kg of component A + 5kg of component B
Key benefits
- Easy to apply, no shrinkage.
- Acts as a dust suppressant by sealing pores in substrates.
- Resistant to wear, abrasion, acids, alkalis, oils, and diesel fuels.
Consumption
- For a primer: Roller application: 0.250 to 0.400 kg/m² depending on the porosity of the substrate.
- For a leveling: Apply with a smooth or notched squeegee: 1 to 2 kg/m².
- For mortar: Apply with a trowel:
- 5 mm thick: consumption 11 kg/m².
- 10 mm thick: consumption of 22 kg/m².

Mixing preparation and application
- Make sure surfaces are clean and dry. Free from dust, grease, moisture, oil, etc.
- The use of our POXYFIRST primer is strongly recommended.
- Mix the two components (they come pre-measured) for 2.5 to 3 minutes at a speed of 400 rpm with an electric agitator.
- Pour the mixture into a suitable container, then add the aggregates (comp. C). Homogenise with a powerful mixer. (For quantities in excess of 50 kg, use a concrete mixer or a special mixer).
- Spread the mixture over the floor using a ruler, then smooth with a stainless steel or steel trowel.
Application and storage conditions
- Room temperature: 12°C to 35°C.
- Substrate temperature: 12°C to 25°C.
- Moisture content: must be less than or equal to 5% for concrete.
- Humidity: 75% max.
- Storage: Store in undamaged packaging at room temperature between 15°C and 25°C.
- Shelf life: 12 months.
