Product Description

Entropy Resins' Eclipse and Whitecaps colourants are formulated from biobased materials to give you a long-lasting, opaque finish.

Eclipse is 73% biobased, Whitecaps 98%, and they are certified by the USDA BioPreferred programme.

Advantages

  • These colourants are environmentally friendly and guarantee long-lasting performance.
  • They are highly concentrated.
  • They are suitable for deep pours and thin coats.
  • They mix easily, without lumps.
  • They can be used to create opaque shades.

Good to Know

  • Colourants are compatible with most other epoxy resins on the market.
  • For applications of less than 3mm, CLR epoxy resin is recommended, and for castings, CCR epoxy is ideal.

Instructions for Use

  1. Pour resin and hardener into a container in the ratio indicated on the back of the hardener.
  2. Mix the epoxy with a stirring stick for about 1 minute.
  3. Shake the bottle before opening. Add the colourant to the epoxy, gradually adding small quantities until the desired shade is achieved. Maximum recommended loading is 5% by weight or volume.
  4. Stir again for 1 minute until the colour is homogeneous.
  5. Pour the epoxy onto your project and allow to cure!

How to Darken or Lighten Colours?

  • Darken colours: add a drop of Eclipse colour to soften or darken a shade that's too bright. One drop is often enough, so we recommend adding them gradually to avoid exceeding the desired shade.
  • Lighten colours: to soften a strong colour, simply add colourless epoxy.
  • Pastel colour: mix Whitecaps with other colours to create pastel colours.
