Entropy Resins' CCR Epoxy Resin

Entropy Resins' CCR epoxy resin is biobased and low-viscosity, water-clear and UV-resistant, designed for artistic and hobby applications such as jewellery, thick coatings and inlays.

It is suitable for all levels of experience, for professionals and beginners alike.

Suitable Hardeners:

  • CCS (Slow: extended working time with polymerisation in 72 hours) for high-density and thick castings.
  • CCF (Fast: cures in 24 hours) ideal for small projects such as creating resin jewellery and other items.

Key Benefits and Areas of Application:

  • Flexibility of application: CCR resin is suitable for a variety of applications, from the creation of jewellery to thick coatings such as river tables, furniture and other decorative elements.
  • Environmentally friendly: Developed using Super Sap technology from renewable raw materials derived from co-products or waste from other industrial processes, Entropy Resins' CCR epoxy resin contains 30% biobased components, and is certified by the USDA Certified BioBased Product label.
  • Crystalline clarity: CCR epoxy has a low viscosity, making it easy to remove bubbles for a flawless, bubble-free finish. It offers exceptional transparency, ideal for applications where visibility is important (jewellery, river tables, etc.).
  • UV resistance: Its UV-resistant formula maintains the transparency of objects to prevent yellowing and preserve their clarity, even outdoors.

Instructions for Use:

For best results, measure the correct mixing ratio of the two components by weight. Always mix the product thoroughly for at least 2 minutes, scraping all surfaces of the container to ensure even mixing. Use the product in a temperature-controlled environment within the product's optimum usage limits. Avoid cold ambient temperatures or high humidity. For optimum curing performance, ensure that surfaces are dry and free from dirt, debris and/or traces of oil. Surface preparation by sanding is strongly recommended.

For wooden substrates, we recommend impregnating the substrate with a thin layer of resin/hardener.

Carry out preliminary tests with the materials and processes envisaged to understand the curing characteristics of the resin in your working environment and its compatibility with other materials.

Beware of humidity and water, as the resin may become opaque. Use a heat gun if necessary.
