BOVIPROTECT Kit

The BOVIPROTECT kit is a 4-component anti-slip system, based on polyurethane resin. It is designed for the protection of new and old livestock vehicle floors, improving the comfort and safety of unshod animals during transport. Cleaning with high-pressure water or a pressure cleaner.

Main Uses:

  • Protection of livestock vehicle floors to provide a non-slip surface,
  • Also suitable for all transport vehicles requiring a non-slip or waterproof finish.

Colour:

Light green

Packaging:

  • 20kg kit for 2m²:
    • 9 kg polyurethane resin (component A and B)
    • 3.5 kg quartz (Q2 or Q3)
    • 2.5 kg SBR
    • 5 kg of basalt (non-slip)
  • 40kg kit for 4m²:
    • 18 kg polyurethane resin (component A and B)
    • 7 kg of quartz (Q2 or Q3)
    • 5 kg SBR
    • 10 kg of basalt (non-slip)

Key Benefits:

  • Waterproof
  • Continuous coating, without joint and without shrinkage.
  • Can be applied on steel, aluminium, and agglomerated wood.
  • Resistance to wear, abrasion, acids, bases, oils, gas oils, urine and excreta.

Consumption:

  • 20kg kit: 2m²
  • 40kg kit: 4m²

Technical Characteristics:

Tests performed from the mixture at an average temperature of 20°C.

Mixing ratio by weight:Comp.A: 82.5 Comp.B: 17.5
Theoretical density of the mixture:1.48
Mixture viscosity:7600 mPas ± 600
Dry extract:99.75 %
Compressive strength:400 kg/cm²
Polymerization after 24 h:40 shore D
Polymerization after 6 days:> 65 shore D
Pot life on a sample of 1500g:Approximately 20 min
Spread out open time:40 min

Preparation of the Mixture:

  1. Ensure that the surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust, oil or grease.
  2. For metal floors: SA sandblasting 2.5 min
  3. For chipboard floors: sand with 24 grain, vacuum and fill holes
  4. Ensure the vehicle is level. ! Be careful: not suitable on bakelised type wood floors!
  5. Mix the resin and hardener then mix for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Empty the mixture into a larger container (bucket or other suitable container), incorporate the aggregates (SBR and Quartz) while continuing to mix until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.

Application Tips:

  1. Depending on the chosen kits, mark out your surface on the floor (2m² or 4m²).
  2. Spread the mixture on the surface using a trowel or a notched spatula. Repeat as many times as necessary.
  3. Monitor the setting and sprinkle basalt when the resin is still viscous.

Be careful: ensure that the anti-slip material remains in the resin and does not sink!

Conditions of Application and Storage:

  • Application temperature: 12°C to 35°C.
  • Support temperature: 10°C to 25°C.
  • Moisture content: must be less than or equal to 5% for concrete, and 8% for wood and agglomerated wood.
  • Humidity: 75% max.
  • Storage: Store in intact packaging at an ambient temperature between 10°C and 25°C. 24 hours before using the kit, store it in the same working area as the floor to get the same temperature on the kit and the support!
  • Shelf life: 12 months.
  • Commissioning after installation, at 20°C: 24 hours for people and 72 hours for animals.
