Hardener 207
Hardener 207 has been formulated for use with WEST SYSTEM 105 resin for applications where an extremely clear finish is desired.
When mixed with 105 epoxy resin, 207 hardener will not redden or cloud in wet conditions. Thin film applications spread and remove smoothly, requiring less sanding to prepare topcoats.
This hardener provides excellent adhesion properties for bonding applications. It contains an ultraviolet inhibitor that protects the 105/207 mixture from sunlight.
Three or more coats can be applied in one day without additional surface preparation. Fewer coats are needed to fill the fiberglass weave and, in most cases, the final coating can be sanded the next day. Boats can be built more quickly.
However, the cured epoxy surface still requires the long-term UV protection of a quality marine paint or a two-component UV filter varnish.
Technical Specifications

- Cure to solid at 21°C: 9 to 12 hours
- Curing to maximum strength at 21°C: 5 to 7 days
- Minimum recommended working temperature: 16°C
Consumption
- For a 1kg mixture on a porous surface at 25°C: 7 - 8 m².
- For a 1kg mixture on a non-porous surface at 25°C: 9 - 10 m².
Attention
For each resin can size, there is a corresponding hardener can size and mini pump size. Make sure that all cans and pumps have the same letter (A, B, C or D). If you have any doubts, please contact our customer service.
Dosing
The mini-pumps allow you to pour the exact proportions of resin and hardener. In order to have correct proportions, it is enough to make one pressure of resin for one pressure of hardener.
Mixing
Mix the resin and hardener for two minutes or longer at low temperatures. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the pot while mixing.
