EquiProtect Kit

The EquiProtect kit is an anti-slip system based on a 3-component polyurethane resin.

It has been specially designed to cover the floors of livestock pens, whether new or old, and for the passage of both shod and unshod animals.

It is a continuous, seamless, non-shrink, waterproof coating.

It is ideal for steel, aluminium, chipboard, etc.

Be careful: Do not apply on bakelised wood floors!

Packaging Available:

  • 14 kg kit: Mixture of 8.5 kg (resin + hardener) + 5.5 kg of rubber granules
  • 28 kg kit: Mixture of 17 kg (resin + hardener) + 11 kg of rubber granules

Advantages:

High resistance to wear, abrasion, acids, bases, oils, diesel fuel, dung and urine. This coating provides a durable, comfortable solution. The granules offer great grip and keep animals safe.

Cleaning Advice:

Clean with a high-pressure washer and plenty of water.

Application and Preparation of the Mix:

  • Substrates must be dry and free from dust, grease, oil, damp, curing compounds and loose or friable parts.
  • New or old steel and aluminium floors must be sanded before application.
  • Chipboard floors should be sanded with 24-grit sandpaper and then vacuumed.
  • Fill any holes
  • Level the vehicle
  • Mark out areas on the floor corresponding to the 1.5m² and 3m² kit
  • 24 hours before applying the kit, it must be stored in the same work area as the floor in order to obtain identical temperatures (not below 14°C)

Application Advice:

  1. Once the above application steps have been carried out, pour the Comp B hardener into the Comp A resin, then mix for 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Pour the entire mixture into a larger container, then continue mixing, incorporating 2/3 to 3/4 of the rubber granules until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
  3. Pour the entire mixture onto the floor.
  4. Sprinkle the remaining granules over the resin surface. Tap the aggregate into the resin with a trowel. Repeat the operation as many times as necessary.
