FFE-200 Epoxy Glue

The FFE-200 epoxy glue is a high-quality, lightweight, flexible two-component epoxy (resin and hardener) for bonding teak decks.

Used for levelling decks and the final bonding of panels and/or teak slats. Suitable for vacuum bonding of teak boat decks.

Consumption: from 0.8m² to 1.2m² per litre, or approximately 1.5m² for the 1.2L kit.

Easily sandable, it requires no primer.

Advantages:

  • Very good adhesion
  • Medium viscosity to facilitate spreading and levelling
  • Resists shocks and twists
  • Good curing even at low temperatures (down to 7°C)
  • Mixing ratio, 1 volume to 1 volume
  • Biscuit colour to match the colour of the wood

The FFE-200 glue has a 1:1 ratio (one volume for one volume) by eye. Once the two components are mixed, you can immediately apply the epoxy to your substrate. The glue has a density of 0.85kg when cured, and its structure provides sound and thermal insulation.

Its viscosity is formulated to be high enough to stay in place during application on the deck but also low enough to provide excellent bonding adhesion. Apply a layer at an ambient temperature of around 25°C using a 4.8 mm notched trowel. Open time of 60-70 minutes, the FFE-200 will cure in 4-6 hours and will be fully hardened in 24 hours. Can cure down to 7°C. Classified as non-hazardous, it requires no label for transport.

Two-component epoxy glue light, flexible and easy to sand. Can be worked up to 7 °C. Does not require any primer. Biscuit colour. Available in 7.6 KG.

Sold in pocket format with their seal to facilitate mixing. Ratio of 1:1.

FFE-200 Fairing & Bonding Epoxy is a custom blended flexible mastic of high-quality epoxy resins and activators, and engineered fillers to yield a lightweight, flexible and easily-sanded system used for both fairing of deck substrates and the final glue-down of deck panels. FFE-200 weighs only 8 lb (3.6 kg) per gallon container when cured and its cell-like structure makes it an excellent sound and thermal insulator. The viscosity of the FFE-200 is formulated to be high enough to stay in place when used for fairing, but low enough to provide excellent wet-out for bonding. The FFE-200 Fitting & Fairing Epoxy will cure in temperatures as low as 45°F (7°C).

Developed to be user-friendly, the simplified 1:1 mix ratio allows a batch of any size to be easily measured and mixed. Once thoroughly mixed, the material can be spread immediately, requiring no induction time. At 77°F (25°C), a layer of FFE-200 applied with a 3/16" (4.8mm) toothed trowel will have an open time of approximately 60-70 minutes, the material will set in approximately 4-6 hours, and complete cure will be achieved in approximately 24 hours. This bonding epoxy has US Department of Transportation “non-corrosive” classification so it does not require hazardous labeling for shipment.

COVERAGE: 7 to 10 m² /KG
