Offshore Liferaft - Transocéan, over 24H - Plastimo
The Transocéan model meets the requirements of the offshore category, beyond 60 miles from a shelter, as defined by division 240
Designed for extreme usage conditions: significant number and volume of water pockets, large surface floating anchor, inflation at -15°C (group A), double insulating floor, fluorescent orange tent with automatic inflatable arch, external lamp 4.3 cd, radar reflective and retro-reflective strips.
The Transocéan liferaft ISO 9650-1 is also equipped with a weighted reversible ladder and an internal handle to facilitate boarding: this system allows the castaway to easily tip into the raft after positioning on the ladder.
In case of capsizing, the boarding ladder tips and positions itself to allow the castaway to climb back onto the overturned raft, thus facilitating its righting.
Two types of equipment are offered depending on the time the castaway is likely to spend in the raft before being rescued:
- a complete equipment including water and provisions (estimated waiting time for rescue of + 24 hours)
- a lightweight equipment (estimated waiting time for rescue of - 24 hours).
It is possible to supplement the equipment with an additional survival bag.
A liferaft is mandatory in France for areas beyond 6 miles.
It is up to you to choose the model suitable for your navigation.
For offshore navigation, we recommend the offshore raft 9650-1.
