Z Freino Locking Carabiner - PETZL

The Z Freino carabiner features a pin that allows you to add or adjust braking during descent.

Easy to use, it is compatible with the auto-locking descenders I'D S, I'D L, I'D EVAC, and RIG. Once turned around, it makes the descender unlosable during transfers from the gear holder to the ventral attachment point or to the anchor. This version is equipped with the Triact-Lock automatic locking system.

Braking Control:

• Pin that allows for added friction in case of heavy loads, to better control the descent (two-person rescue situation),
• Simple and adjustable use. The rope can be quickly passed or removed from the braking pin with one hand.

Easier Handling:

• Easy passage of the rope through the pin, without opening the carabiner,
• Keylock system to prevent any accidental snagging of the carabiner,
• TRIACT-LOCK automatic locking system with triple action unlocking,
• Compatible for use on harnesses as well as at the anchor.
