The technical ice axe NOMIC Petzl is the reference for ice climbing, ice falls, and dry tooling.

Perfectly balanced, equipped with weights, it provides an exceptional swing.

Hydroformed "T" handle offering optimal grip in the middle of the shaft for snow couloirs.

The PUR'ICE tapered blade allows for effective placements in all types of ice.

The geometry of the axe and the dual grip offer multiple gripping modes, as well as stable hand changes.

Equipped with a minimalist hammer, the head is protected and allows for re-tapping a piton. Fully modular, the axe can be optimized according to the route or your preferences.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

• Hydroformed "T" handle for optimal grip in the middle of the shaft in couloirs.
• PUR'ICE blade, tapered at the tip (3 mm), offering excellent penetration in all types of ice, including the hardest ice.
• Notched on the upper part, it provides a stable support when the axe is reversed,
• Optimized inertia and striking quality, thanks to the WEIGHTS.
• Offset low handle to protect the hand from contact with the ice and provide more comfort in suspension,
• Overmoulded high handle made of two materials providing excellent grip while insulating from the cold.
• Fully modular head allowing adaptation of the axe's technicality to the route.
• Delivered with a MINI HAMMER to protect the head and re-tap pitons.
• Devoid of accessories, the axe is lighter for dry tooling practice (only 500 g).
• GRIPREST NOMIC support wedge overmoulded and adjustable in three positions to fit all hand sizes, including with large gloves.
• The lower part features a serrated stainless steel tip to improve support when the axe is used as a cane.
