Grigri® Petzl Descender Belay Device

GRIGRI® PETZL DESCENDER BELAYER

Becoming one of the most widely used belay systems in gyms and on cliffs, the Grigri Petzl allows for easy and smooth belaying of the climber.

The assisted braking with its stainless steel cam improves the comfort of belaying during working phases (climber's rest) and during the stopping of climber falls.

During a climber's fall, the rope tightens and the cam pinches the rope to brake it.

The hand, by holding the rope on the braking side, allows the cam to engage, hence the importance of always holding the rope on the braking side.

To release, control the rope's movement in the grigri, a slight action on the ergonomic handle provides a smooth and comfortable descent.

The gear ratio (X3) of the handle allows for exceptional control of the descent regardless of the rope diameter.

Light and compact, the GRIGRI Petzl can be used with single ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm.

(optimized for diameters between 8.9 and 10.5 mm).

This product has been manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the CE regulation 2016/425 for PPE (category 3) following the standards EN 15151-1: 2012 UIAA 129: 2018; , UKCA, UIAA
