Aven Caving Harness - PETZL

The AVEN harness is a comfortable and robust harness designed for caving.

The belt equipped with foam reinforcements and the widened thigh straps ensure more comfort during long verticals.

The thigh reinforcements made of TPU, as well as the gear loops and attachment points made of HDPE, make it an extremely durable harness. Its attachment points are positioned as low as possible to facilitate and make rope ascents more efficient. It is equipped with six gear loops, two CARITOOL tool holders, and a kit ring for transporting and organising equipment.

Wide thigh straps providing better load distribution between the thighs and the hips. The thigh straps are reinforced with TPU for better abrasion resistance.

Optimised performance for rope ascents, thanks to the low position of the attachment points.
Three gear loops on each side allowing for the transport and organisation of a lot of equipment.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF THE AVEN HARNESS:

Comfort in suspension:

• Wide comfort foams on the belt providing comfortable support at the hips, without hindering mobility and rope ascent,
• Closed-cell foam belt to prevent water absorption and maintain comfort throughout the harness's lifespan,
• Wide thigh straps offering better load distribution between the thighs and the hips,
• Thigh strap buckles located in the crotch area to limit the risk of snagging in tight spaces.

Enhanced durability:

• Thigh reinforcements made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) for better abrasion resistance,
• Belt reinforcements made of polyester,
• Extremely durable high-tenacity polyethylene (HDPE) gear loops,
• High-tenacity polyester straps maintaining adjustment fluidity over time,
• Fully reinforced attachment points made of high-tenacity polyethylene (HDPE) for great durability,
• Rear buckle with wear protection by strap flap.

Efficiency for rope ascents:

• Optimised performance for rope ascents, thanks to the low position of the attachment points,
• Three gear loops on each side allowing for the transport and organisation of a lot of equipment.

• Safety stitches in different colours for easier identification of the harness size (yellow stitches for size 1 and black stitches for size 2),
• High-tenacity polyethylene (HDPE) ring for carrying the kit.
