Evolution of the Nemo Apneist, the Smart Apnea reaches a maximum operating depth of 150 metres, the software can be easily updated via a PC using the USB Dive Link interface, and it is possible to download dive data recorded.
The LCD segmented display offers clear visibility and easy reading, as well as superior visibility.
The use of the Smart Apnea is made easier and intuitive thanks to two buttons for short and long presses, which allow access to viewing options. Instantaneous depth data, dive duration, descent and ascent speed, as well as water temperature, can be viewed on the screen during each dive.
The safety of its users is fundamental for Mares. That is why with the Smart Apnea, it is possible to program dives with peace of mind, thanks to the selection of data visible at depth and on the surface. Customisable alarms are also available for depth, dive duration, recovery, speed, and hydration. It is also possible to set the water density with a configurable value between 1.000 kg/l and 1.050 kg/l in steps of 0.001 for maximum precision in depth detection in different oceans.
Smart Apnea provides the freediver with a wide range of useful information to manage apneas more effectively and maintain control over risky situations and specific data (speed control, surface interval, hydration alarm), in order to prevent potential symptoms related to fainting, “taravana” and hemoptysis.
The memory is now extended, allowing storage of up to 9 different sessions with data reading and sampling every second. The stored data for each dive is easily accessible, allowing for precise programming of apneas during recreational dives, competitions, and training.
The new microprocessors used for the Smart Apnea are truly high-performing, and with the latest generation pressure sensor, they optimise battery consumption, thus increasing its lifespan: approximately 200 hours of diving or 2 years.
Therefore, these are very important innovations. But once again, Mares has also wanted to pay attention to form and design: Smart Apnea adopts a new shape also suited for very thick wetsuits, and an attractive aesthetic thanks to the case and strap made of two materials, available in two colour combinations: black/grey and black/orange.
