Compatibility Information
Marine Gloss - Jet Black is suitable for application on wood, metal, or plastic surfaces exposed to salt or fresh water. For optimal results, it is recommended to prepare the surface with a suitable primer, such as the Marine Gloss primer.
Application Instructions
- Surface Preparation:
- Clean with a suitable detergent, rinse with fresh water, and let dry.
- Sand with abrasive grade 280/320.
- Apply two finishing coats.
- New Surfaces:
- Remove all old coatings.
- Apply a suitable primer for the substrates.
- Apply two finishing coats.
- Previously Painted Surfaces:
- Lightly sand with abrasive grade 80/180, followed by sanding with abrasive grade 220.
- Dust thoroughly.
- Apply one to two very diluted coats (about 50%), then two normally diluted coats until the desired final appearance is achieved.
- Thinning: If necessary, thin with Jet Black gloss thinner. Thinning should be between 5% and 20%, depending on the application equipment.
